GENERAL INFORMATION:  Arts in the Park will be a day to celebrate young artists of our area.  These young artists will have the opportunity to display their work for the public to enjoy in the beautiful setting of Thompson Park’s amphitheater.  In other areas of the park the show will feature arts, crafts, children’s activities, food and entertainment.  The work displayed is to be the work of exhibitor.  The registration fee will go to the playground fund at Thompson Park to help with improvements.  Artists who are not enrolled in a public school and over the age of 18 are welcome to show/sell their work and will be required to pay the registration fee.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:  All artists, craftsman, vendors and organizations must register individually. A two-person “team” producing a single product may qualify as a single exhibitor. If two exhibitors share one booth space, both are required to pay the registration fee. For each exhibitor, a $10.00 registration fee is due. No commission will be charged on artists, craftsman, vendors and organization’s sales. Registration cut-off date will be April 19, 2013.  Artists will be required to attach a snap shot of their work in general to be back of their registration form.  Keep in mind this will be a “family” event. No works with nudity or any type of illegal content will be allowed.  Upon receiving the registration form and $10.00 fee a map of the park will be sent to you along with parking and other set up information.  The registration fee will be non-refundable.

Display Equipment:  All display equipment must be provided by exhibitor, vendor or organization; i.e., tables, chairs, easel, tents etc. There are no booths, but the large shady park provides sufficient space for your display.  Thompson Park and Arts in the Park organizers/volunteers will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any kind by any cause. The rain date for this event will be May 18, 2013.

Space Selection:  Thompson Park is a public park used for walking, and bike riding, along with other activities available to the public.  For this reason, space numbers are not marked until the morning of the event.  Your space number will be sent to you and marked on the map that you will receive upon receipt of registration fee.

Set-Up:  All exhibitors, vendors and organizations must be set up by 11:00 am. Check-in will begin at 9:00 am by the front entrance off of Parkway Avenue.   (Everyone is to begin tearing down at 6:00 pm).
